Dog-friendly beaches

Let off steam

A shared pleasure.

What a joy to play with your dog on a large stretch of sand and to see him so happy to put his paws in the water! However, it takes a bit of organisation to find the place to enjoy a vacation by the sea together. We have done a lot of work for you by listing the beaches authorized for dogs on the Pink Granite Coast.

Access permissions vary by season. We will try to guide you but the rules can change at any time, so we advise you to check with the various town halls or tourist offices before going there. You will also find on the edge of the beach signs with the regulations in force.

Dog-friendly beaches in Perros-Guirec in summer

Dogs are prohibited on all beaches, with one exception. More like a shore than a beach, but it is the only place authorised for dogs all year round: at Les Arcades, boulevard Yvon Bonnot (previously boulevard de la Mer), but kept on a leash. Be careful, it is often muddy and the sea can get high! Watch the tide times.

From October 1 to April 30, dogs are allowed on a leash. However, we advise you to abstain. Several animals died after frequenting the beach of Saint-Efflam. It seems that the cause is gases escaping from algae buried in the sand. An invisible and deadly danger. At your peril!

The final word

Of course, to keep the beaches accessible to dogs, remember to pick up their droppings and always keep on a leash those who don’t have a reliable recall.

Because as they say in Trebeurden:

Better get caught the hand in the bag rather than have a foot in need

Those who have found where to have fun
